About Joseph Aquilina

The London Gynaecologist is the personal website of Mr Joseph Aquilina who is a leading Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St.Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.

Mr Aquilina provides a specialist service in Fetal Medicine and Gynaecological Ultrasound. Since his NHS appointment in October 2000 he has set up a Fetal Medicine Service at the Royal London and a one-stop Menstrual Disorder clinic originally based at Barts up till 2016 when the service moved to the Royal London.

Mr Joseph Aquilina provides a one-stop clinic service with immediate access to Transvaginal ultrasound and Saline Sonography in both NHS and private settings. He is recognised as a preceptor for training in gynaecological scanning by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has been the Editor for the Women’s Health Section of Current Opinion in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the last ten years. With his expertise in the application of ultrasound he has special interest the management of:
